Images make your cards and letters more personal and eye-catching. We'll explain step by step how to add and use images in Print.one.
Logos are often used as images in B2B applications. There are many other possibilities, such as:
Your customer's favorite product
The team at a branch where a colleague works
A customer's pet
In this explanation, we'll use the example of an organization's logo, but the same principle applies to any other image.
You can use almost any common image format for inserting images:
JPG, PNG, WebP, etc.
Color profile: RGB or sRGB (not CMYK)
Resolution: 300 dpi for sharp prints
For background images: use the exact dimensions of your chosen card format (found in the bottom right corner of the editor or in our design guides).
In your designs you can use the following images:
Any file format a regular browser supports (e.g. JPG, PNG, WebP etc.);
Color profile RGB or sRGB (no CMYK!);
300 dpi (for the correct sharpness);
For background images: use the dimensions of the desired card format. You can find the dimensions in the bottom right of the editor or see the design specifications page.
You can use your images in two ways:
Upload to Print.one (in the portal or editor) The maximum file size is 10MB per file. This is the safest method: you can be sure that images will load correctly.
Using an External Source Keep the following in mind: - The server must be able to handle many requests for large orders. - Google Drive is insufficient. - Images that do not return a valid (2xx) status will cause the order to fail.
Firewall Configuration (If Necessary)
If you use a firewall to protect static images, you can use the information below to whitelist Print.one:

We are all familiar with personalisations like: "Dear {{first name}}." The use of personalized images is less common. That's a shame, because with images, you can go even further to stand out. Consider a logo that changes for each recipient. Below, we explain how to set this up.
Make sure all logos or images:
Have the same dimensions/proportions (e.g., square)
Have file names that match a value in your mailing list, such as:
Organization name: Print.one
File name: Print.one.png
In your Print.one account, go to Files and click Choose file in the top right corner. Upload all the images. Your account has 250MB of storage space by default.
Go to Design Templates and open or create a new design.
Click on Images (foreground) > Variable image per recipient.
Give the variable a name, e.g., company-logo.
Set the desired size (e.g., 200x200 pixels).
Click on Place image and place it in the correct location in your design.
Click the button in the bottom left corner to edit the code. Find the line with your variable ({{ company-logo }}) and replace it with: {{{ file company-logo }}}. This indicates that the image comes from your Print.one account.
Go to Drip Orders > Import > CSV. Upload your mailing list and choose your design. When linking the columns ("folders"):
Link the correct address information.
Link the column with the organization name to "company-logo."
Add ".png" to the value so the system recognizes the correct file. (Ensure there's no space between the name and ".png.")
Check that everything went well by clicking "Next" and check the preview.
Your cards now contain images that can vary per recipient. A smart way to truly stand out and communicate personally.
