Scaling text
Sometimes you're not sure how long a name or word will be, but you still want it to fit neatly into your design. Use the "Scaling Text" function for this. This way, your design always stays neat, no matter how short or long the text is.
How does scaling tekst work?
With text scaling, you can automatically make text smaller (or larger) so it always fits within a specific box. The font ratio is maintained, so the text isn't distorted.
You can easily configure this in the Print.one editor. You can turn any regular text line into scaling text with a single checkbox. You'll then have two options:
Downscale (on by default)
When the text becomes too long, the font size automatically decreases to fit everything within the gray-striped box. This is useful for long names or changing discount codes, for example.
Upscale (off by default)
When this option is on, short text automatically scales up to fill the box as best as possible. If it's off, the selected font size becomes the maximum size.
Extra information
You can turn both features on or off separately, giving you complete control over the behavior of your text. You'll find these options in the editor's sidebar once you've enabled scaling. Always test your design with the preview function to be sure of the result.
